“…from Mombasa to Milan, Musquodoboit & and more”…. Coastal Voice’s April Concert Series is looking to be packed with exotic souvenirs from times past, places present, and melodies immemorial!

We are looking forward this April to perform for the good people of the East Preston, Jeddore and everywhere in-between & beyond. Expect to hear songs/stories from the lands of Russia, Kenya, Italy and Scotland, as well as locally arranged music by the talented Composer/Accompanist/Pianist, John Plant!
This year’s program spans not only multiple genres of Vocal Music, but also different eras of music, including Gospel, Baroque, Musical Comedy, Italian Opera, Maritime Folk, etc. The four-voice sections of CVMC (Bass; Baritone; 1st & 2nd Tenors) are excited to sing the odd audience favorite from our recent past seasons (including a Swahili number!). Yet much of 2019’s repertoire is newly arranged music with a particularly International flare, with a firm root in the various Western vocal traditions.
Conducted by Ross Thompson (a guest clinician, conductor and adjudicator for numerous choral camps, workshops, festivals and clinics throughout the Maritimes), CVMC is has been preparing diligently for it’s most ambitious Program to-date. And on top of that, Artistic Director Allan Banks will be conducting a special feature as well!
