Fish Folk Art Fundraiser – Draw at June 5th Concert

Tickets are $1 each with a chance to win one of three beautifully painted fish, handcrafted by Choir member Jim Reid.

The draw will take place at our concert on June 5th at First United Church, Musquodoboit Harbour. The concert starts at 7:00 p.m.

In the meantime tickets can be obtained from Jim Reid, 902-829-2850 or via a Choir member. Tickets will also be available at the Sunday Musquodoboit Harbour Farmers’ Market, on 15th May, held in the Community Centre from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Refugee Fund Variety Show on 14th May

IMG_2720Our section in the Variety Show coming up next weekend, on Saturday 14th May starting at 7:00 p.m., will include “Rise Again” with soloist Rowan Wilson-Henkelman. Our (bass) and solo singer/songwriter Jim Reid will be appearing amongst the other performances. It will be a great evening in support of the Musquodoboit Harbour Refugee Fund.

As a reminder, tickets for the Show are $15 at the door, or $12.50 in advance – call Jim Henman at 902-483-6115.

Fund Raiser

House Rehearsal on May 5th

We held the last House Rehearsal of the season, a Wine & Cheese fundraiser for the Choir, in West Jeddore. Many thanks to a favourite bass, Dave Kerr, for opening his beautiful home to the Choir and guests, and for the enthusiastic audience support. The space is great for singing, and the location perfect for our sea-themed songs.

Now we are looking forward to participating in the “We Are The shore” Variety Show on May 14th and our final concert on June 5th. We are also honoured to be invited to sing at the Eastern Shore District High School awards event on May 24th.
