Bass
Ken was born in Pictou and grew up on a farm in Loch Broom. At the age of 12 he moved with his family to Bible Hill. After attending St. Mary’s University, he went west to teach in Alberta. He moved back to Nova Scotia in 1979, but only briefly. After obtaining a Masters in Library Services from Dalhousie, he packed up once more and headed west, this time to Saskatchewan, where he spent the next 27 years working in public libraries. He retired in 2010 and returned to Nova Scotia for the last time.
Ken is a visual artist, writes a bit of poetry, gardens and herds cats.
